invitation fascination.

Confession: I am obsessed with wedding invitations (actually just pretty paper and cards, in general). As soon as I hear the good news that a friend of mine is engaged, I patiently await the arrival of their save-the-date, shower invite, wedding invitation and all of the other fun parties I hope (and better) get invited to. Here are some designs that are inspiring me lately:

I love this Black Glittered Lace invitation from Kate's Paperie. It has a regal, almost royal quality about it. And does it get any sexier than lace and a black bow? I think not.

I don’t know Lauren or Mike, but I’m digging their invite.
A combo of swirly & basic fonts + effortless accents & bold color = perfection (now this is the kind of math I like). Bravo, minted.

I’m a firm believer that the term “less is more” unquestionably applies to invitation design, and below is proof of this. All designed by minted.

Then there is the monogram. Something I find a tad unnecessary unless used as a postage stamp or envelope seal. But if designed the right way, I might be convinced otherwise. I may even fancy designs like these by Belletristics.
